“Everything we create shapes who we are. We are both ‘that’ and ‘beyond that’. This is how I create.”
Creating Marina
I’ve spent the last couple of decades trying to figure out who I am, what I truly want, and most importantly, how to break free from self-inflicted limitations. My journey has brought me to untying the main knot of suffering, finding the path to financial independence (FI), and leading a more creative life. As I move toward early retirement, my goal is to create a lifestyle that will not only utilize years of insights, creativity, and healthy habits, but that will bring meaning and value into my own and other people’s lives.
Based on my experiences, learnings, and insights, I will provide tips on what has worked and what hasn’t so far. I would love to hear from you and how your life experiences have shaped who you are and led you to your best life.
Non-duality, Human Design, the Enneagram, Myers Briggs, and even the Tarot will also slip in.
Feel free to share and inquire. By creating me, you’re creating you!

A little backstory…
I was born and raised in Moldova, a small eastern European country, and came to America at the age of 11. In my early twenties, I had a life-altering encounter with the spiritual realm. After dramatically changing my direction in life, I became an avid spiritual seeker, who found solace in writing, while supporting myself as a substitute teacher.
Later, as my understanding of life expanded so did my creative pursuits into music. Since 2014 I’ve been collaborating with singer-songwriter Paul McCarty of Wicked Saints. The two of us go by the name Non Duo. The name comes from the term non-dual—which means not two, but one—and points to the existence of an absolute reality that transcends everyday reality. You can hear our music here.
Drawing upon a decade of self-inquiry and a variety of non-dual approaches that go back to Ramana Maharshi and to more contemporary awakened beings such as Jed McKenna, Adyashanti, Eckhart Tolle, Rupert Spira, Mooji, and the teacher with whom I worked most directly, Peter Brown, I realized that LIFE IS SIMPLY HAPPENING and it’s possible to be a co-creator with life.
More recently, the uncertainty, and the upside-down world of 2020, has thrown me into the arms of full-time work. I decided to go back to school to get my teaching credential while working as an intern teacher. I’m going through two major transitions in my life – my career/finances and my relationship. I just finished my teaching credential program and as it was coming to an end, so was my marriage. Change is a complex and beautiful part of life, which I will try to navigate with grace, optimism, and support of like-minded individuals as yourself.
